Colorado's Destination Management and Event Planning organization,The Arrangers, has partnered with SCANVenger Hunt to create an interactive, state-of-the-art activity for groups of all sizes. Denver's Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) was the first to experience the technology in the mile-high city.
The SCANVenger Hunt took place in the historic LoDo neighborhood of Downtown Denver and led attendees through multiple restaurants. With the help of a smartphone, users scanned QR codes to bring up a trivia question, video or audio clip, pdf about the area and a clue to their next location.
"The SCANVenger Hunt platform adds a new high-tech twist to traditional scavenger hunts and provides a way for users to access trivia questions by scanning QR codes with their smartphones," states Nicole Marsh, The Arrangers President & CEO.
SCANVenger Hunt is a division of Comtactics, a multiplatform design team located in Dayton, Ohio. The company uses traditional and emerging media to create events like interactive teambuilding and product launches for hotels, resorts, sport venues, mall properties and more.
"What's also great about the technology is that players can view leader board activity and their scores in real time as they play the game," adds Sean Fields, the CEO/President of Ohio-based SCANVenger Hunt. "As an administrator we are also able to see real-time scan activity and poll question results versus the scramble to add up scores at the end of our traditional hunts," adds Marsh.
The Arrangers have been a Colorado staple for 42 years. The company specializes in creative and cost effective solutions for special events, transportation, teambuilding, group tours and meeting logistics.
