The Hotel Colorado Hires New Group Sales Manager

The Hotel Colorado, managed by Providence Hospitality Partners, in Glenwood Springs, welcomes new Group Sales Manager, Billie Lynn Scherf. In this new role, Scherf will source, attain and maintain Association and Government Group Sales.

Scherf brings over 18 years of hospitality industry experience to Hotel Colorado with eight of those years focused on sales. She is active in associations such as The Colorado Society of Association Executives (CSAE), CSAE Membership Committee, Colorado’s Women’s Chamber of Commerce, Leads Group, and the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, Membership Committee & Moderator for their Leads Group. In additon, she is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), serves as the Annual Auction Donation Chair, as well as holding positions on the Education & Philanthropy Committee with the Rocky Mountain Business Travel Association (RMBTA).

The Hotel Colorado was built in 1893 featuring a European-style spa, large pool, electrically lit fountain that shot water 185 feet high, courtyards and becoming a destination resort for the wealthy and elite. It was visited by Presidents William Howard Taft and Theodore Roosevelt along with many other prominent figures of society.
