James Sabatier Named President and CEO of Destination Hotels & Resorts

James "Jamie" Sabatier has been named the new president and chief operating officer of Destination Hotels and Resorts based in Denver. The company is the hospitality management branch of Lowe Enterprises, a Los Angeles-based national real estate investment, development and management firm. Established in 1973, Destination Hotels and Resorts now has a portfolio of 40 award-winning hotels, resorts and conference centers.

“Jamie is a skilled and innovative leader who shares our vision for the future of Destination Hotels and Resorts,” said Robert J. Lowe, Jr., co-president of Lowe Enterprises. “With 25 years of experience both inside and outside the hospitality industry, he is well-suited to guide Destination Hotels and Resorts through a new phase of growth.”

Sabatier is a former senior executive with Starwood Hotels and Resorts where he worked in strategic direction, positioning and growth of the W Hotels brand. He also oversaw Starwood's global investment team which finished 50 corporate and real estate transactions during his time with the company.

Before entering the hospitality industry, Sabatier worked in the investment banking industry holding positions with Montgomery Securities, Lehman Brothers and Coldwell Banker Commercial. He will be taking over for current retiring-president Charles S. Peck.
