Keystone Resort Announces Three Summer Festivals

Keystone Resort, Colorado, is scheduled to host the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour (June 23-24), the Wine and Jazz Festival (July 13-15) and the Bluegrass and Beer Festival (August 4-5) this summer.

The Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour will take place on June 23-24 from 1pm to 6pm at River Run Village. This is  the second year that Keystone Resort will host the Blue Ribbon Bacon Tour. Featuring over 2,000 lbs of bacon, this event will serve dishes from local restaurants and bacon providers, including Tender Belly, Eden Farms and Daly’s. There will be a cook-off competition, children’s activities, and musical guests such as Better than Bacon, Hells Belle’s and Universally Famous Rocket Surgeons. All concerts are free, one-day festival tickets are $30 and weekend packages begin at $50.

The Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival is scheduled on July 13-15 from 1pm to 5pm at River Run Village. There will be VIP mountaintop wine tasting, educational wine seminars, live jazz performances, food as well as over 300 wines to sample. The Festival starts with the VIP Mountain Top Reserve Wine Tasting, which will occur on Dercum Mountain at Keytop Deck. Discounted event passes providing unlimited Saturday and Sunday sampling are available until June 4. Admission to the live concerts on the Village stage is free. Musical guests include Salsa Con Jazz, Elan Trotman & Lin Rountree, Dotsero and Hazel Miller.

The Keystone Bluegrass and Beer Festival will be held on August 4-5 from 12pm to 5pm at River Run Village. Offering samples from up to 30 breweries, this is one of the largest beer festivals in the state. Special bluegrass seminars will be offered at Warren Station Center for the Arts and will include banjo instruction from Jesse Langlais (Town Mountain), fiddle instruction with Casey Driessen, singing instruction with Tim O’Brien and songwriting instruction with Darrell Scott. Musical guests will include Darrell Scott, Tim O’Brien, Head for the Hills and Jeff Scroggins & Colorado. Concert admission is free.
