The Mining Exchange, a Wyndham Grand Hotel that is set to open on June 1, 2012, is now accepting reservations. The new boutique hotel promises to deliver a luxury experience in a historic downtown Colorado Springs setting.
Originally, the Colorado Springs’ Mining Exchange Building was a bustling place to trade stocks, bonds, precious metals and other commodities. Today, the hotel includes three restored buildings with towering granite arches and columns crowned by elaborate embellishment. With these improvements, the hotel aims to give a second life to the building while maintaining its character and charm.
“At The Mining Exchange, we will offer the best of both worlds for the professional on-the-go and the leisure traveler,” said Erin Smith, Director of Sales and Marketing. “This is a place where serious business has been conducted for over 100 years--we will continue that tradition, in a setting that’s elegant yet relaxed.”
Guests will experience decorative touches that have been preserved from the original building. For example, vaults that were once used to store valuables are now showcased throughout the property.
“Every one of our 117 guest rooms and suites are luxuriously and thoughtfully appointed, creating the perfect atmosphere for work, rest and play,” says General Manager Tyler Sherman.
In addition to the rooms, the hotel will feature a full-service restaurant and lobby bar, an on-site spa, boardroom, ballrooms and a large private courtyard.Meetings + Events E-newsletter Sign Up
