Following Germany's Lead?

Printer-friendly version

I receive all sorts of press releases from around the world. Since Colorado is such a world-class skiing and snowboarding state, the fact that the check-in hall at Germany's Düsseldorf International Airport will house the world's first airport indoor ski jump in conjunction with TravelSuperMart, Feb. 6 - 7, caught my attention.

Snowboarders and ski-freestylers will perform stunts and jumps up to 30 feet on real snow on a 130-foot-long "slope."

Maybe Denver International Airport should try that for Snowsports Industries America's (SIA) Snow Show being held right now in Denver for the first time after several years in Las Vegas? Kudos to Denver for landing this major event.
