We just sent our summer issue to the printer, and I predict readers will especially like the feature story “Dirty Jobs – Colorado Meetings & Events Industry Edition.” Not only is it fun to read about what really goes on behind-the-scenes, the photography of the make-it-happen people writer Julie Scheff interviewed is priceless. This story idea was the brainchild of our editorial advisory board.
Work on the fall issue is already well underway, and I’d like to hear from planners, venues and suppliers regarding great holiday ideas for meetings and events (décor, party ideas, gifts, food and beverage, venues, etc.). We’ll need top-notch photography to help illustrate the Holiday Ideas Galore feature so show me what you have!
Also, we are preparing a story “Venus vs. Mars – Meetings & Events Programming for Women vs. Men.” Have you planned a conference or meeting that was primarily being attended by men for example? What did you plan for free time, meals, receptions, etc.? The seed for this idea was planted a couple of years ago as I attended a session at the annual Meetings Industry Council of Colorado. So I’m interested to see where it takes us!
Drop me a line for either story here. Enjoy the rest of May.
