Destination Kohler Appoints Doug Stringer as Head Chef of the Award-Winning Immigrant Restaurant

Kohler Co. has announced the appointment of Doug Stringer as head chef of The Immigrant Restaurant, located at The American Club resort-hotel at Destination Kohler.

Stringer joined Kohler Co. in 2015 as sous chef of Riverbend, where he oversaw all facets of kitchen operations, purchasing, food cost management, staffing, menu design, and overall leadership. He has over seven years of fine dining and hospitality experience. In his new role, he will oversee the development and creation of culinary programs.

Colorado’s Nordic Centers Do a Flip for Fair-Weather Fun

In recent years, Colorado ski resorts have found unique ways to transform into busy summer and fall playgrounds and ideal spots for group gatherings and activities, and the state’s Nordic centers are doing the same. Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa in Colorado has announced its appointment of Stephen Johnson as general manager of the hotel.

Johnson brings years of executive-leve, strategic leadership and operations development experience to his new role. He will be responsible for all guest and hotel associate experiences at the resort in addition to finances of the property.
