With more than a decade of experience with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Kathy Hastings will be serving as the Food & Beverage Director and Randall Baldwin as the Executive Chef at the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek.

Chef Baldwin brings more than 15 years of Colorado culinary experience. His past experiences include working in hotels, private clubs, and stand-alone restaurants, enabling him to deal with every type of customer in a multitude of dining settings. At the age of 11, Baldwin began washing dishes for his parents in a little German place in his uncle’s lodge in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

“For me one of the most enjoyable parts of working in this industry is the fast paced environment, the controlled chaos, the way chefs can communicate without talking during service and still execute on a high level” says Baldwin. “I also enjoy providing guests with a memorable experience that makes them want to return over and over.”

The JW Marriott Denver offers more than 9,500 square feet of urban meeting space, including Fireside, a 2,400 square foot of outdoor event space that offers two walls of glass retractable doors leading to an enchanting patio with fire pits. “We are excited to offer delicious and unique new dishes to our restaurant patrons and social and corporate event guests,” said Bob Megazzini, the Area General Manager overseeing the JW Marriott Denver. “Both Kathy & Chef Randall are highly respected leaders and we are thrilled to have them running the F&B team at the JW Marriott Denver.”

Viceroy Snowmass recently hired Danielle McNair as director of business development for their sales professional team.

“Being the director is actually very similar to my previous sales leader role because much of what I do still relates to hotel sales,” said McNair.

As the lead member of the sales team, McNair is responsible for generating new business leads and revenue streams in the association, corporate meetings and incentives sectors.

By Design Collective has announced Denise Smith as its new director of sales and marketing. With 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Smith loves the ever-changing landscape of events, the creativity, and innovation presented to clients. Smith started on the ground floor as an Operations Manager at a destination company called Meeting and Incentive Management in Las Vegas, NV. She worked her way through many stages of the industry.

With nearly 20 years of hotel and resort industry experience, Jess Johnson’s appointment to director of sales at Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Springs, A Dolce Resort comes at a key point in the resort’s history.
