Save the Date for the GBTA Convention

The annual Global Business Travel Association convention is on the books for July 16-20 in the Mile High City. With nearly 7,000 attendees, the convention is the largest, most comprehensive annual gathering of business travel and meetings managers, meeting planners, procurement professionals and suppliers in the world. The theme for 2016 is balance, describing today’s business travel environment where buyers must balance many priorities from duty of care and risk management to managing cost and compliance at a time when the industry is undergoing significant changes due to changing demographics, technologies and travel platforms.

The Organization: PCs for People is headquartered in Minneapolis and recently opened a Denver office. The nonprofit organization refurbishes and recycles computer equipment from businesses, individuals and government agencies and provides them at little or no cost to families that could not afford them otherwise. PCs for People provides the same services for significantly reduced prices for eligible nonprofit organizations. pcsforpeople.org

Colorado is known as the state of craft beer, but it also has the most distilleries per capita in the country, the oldest craft distillers and some of the most innovative spirits being created. So it should come as no surprise that the first-ever Hearts & Trails Spirits Festival was held on Feb. 24 at Denver’s Mile High Station to highlight some of the state’s finest spirit artisans and celebrate the launch of the Colorado Spirits Trail.
