Conjure up a Colorado landscape, and you're likely to envision jagged peaks and alpine wildflowers rather than rows of vines heavy with juicy chardonnay or cabernet sauvignon grapes. But Colorado has a real and burgeoning wine industry with currently more than 50 licensed wineries, almost double the number that existed five years ago. Though most are small, family-run businesses, several regularly host private events in their tasting rooms or at other on-property sites, which range from a former train depot to a French chateau-style compound. >>
