Continuing my tour of new Denver hotels, I had the good fortune of visiting Cherry Creek North’s Halycon, which opened in August 2016 and was the first new lodging property in this hip, high-end district to open in a decade, with more coming online in the near future.
StageSpot announced the launch of its online custom gobo creator.
The platform was designed for industry professionals and their clients. The creator gives users the ability to choose from more than 75 pre-made templates or to upload custom images and artwork, making the process quicker.
Gobo is an acronym for “Goes Before Optics.” A gobo is a disc made from steel, glass, or plastic used as a partial screen in front of a light.
I’m a big fan of partnering, art and skiing, so when I saw the trio mentioned all together, it caught my attention! Aspen Art Museum and Aspen Skiing Company offer great venues and activity options for groups, and, for the past 11 years, they have teamed up to produce beautiful lift tickets like those for the 2016/2017 ski season that feature 11 different images from Los Angeles-based contemporary artist Laura Owen.
With 40 acres of land, 400 guest rooms, and 180 luxury suites, Scottsdale Plaza Resort has built a solid reputation. Solidifying this reputation is a renovation to their standard rooms.
The changes include new bathtubs, larger closet and vanity areas, granite counters and more.
“In less than six months we have gone from a ranking of 61 on Trip Advisor to 16, so clearly the renovations to our standard rooms contributed to that,” says Sheryl Bettencourt, director of marketing for the resort.
Musikfest recently unveiled its official 2015 festival artwork, and the results are bright, vibrant and enticing. The work showcases the Lehigh Valley region’s history as well as the festival’s unique past.
Brian Barto, an Emmaus, Pa. native, created the graphic illustration based off of signage found throughout the Lehigh Valley region. He also tied in unique aspects of the festival itself.
