Sometimes I wonder how much time I spend in my closet scooting hangers back and forth. Whether the event is formal, semi-formal, business dress or even the dreaded “smart” casual (what does that even mean?), deciding what to wear to an event can be a difficult choice. Of course, when you get it right and you have the perfect bag to go with that dress or the right pair of shoes, it’s a feeling you want to remember. Cue the on-site illustrations by Denise Fike.

This Philadelphia-based artist shares her talent with partygoers and event attendees with a very unique product – fashion sketches. Fike’s sketches look a bit like retro Vogue covers…except you’re the model! She was on site at the MPI gala and sketched our own Maureen Hennessey (that’s Maureen in the sketch!). If you’re looking for something truly memorable to gift your guests with at your next event, look no further than the designs of Denise Fike.

Recently, I wrote about examples of two lodging properties’ impactful ways to give back. Colorado’s meeting and event industry associations also are champions of good causes, including the National Association of Catering and Events - Greater Denver Chapter’s first-ever Bunks to Backpacks on Aug. 8 at Four Mile Historic Park from 4 – 9 p.m.

The event production and destination management company that has served Colorado since 1969 has rebranded itself as Imprint Group.

Marquee Sports & Entertainment hosted a tour of the American Airlines Conference Center for the media on July 13. The tour showcased the conference center's amenities and customizable event spaces and featured a food sampling following the tour.

The American Airlines Conference Center is 5,300 square feet and is ideal for private meetings, networking events and receptions. There are four flexible event spaces and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Park at Wrigley.
