Make Breaks Count: Healthy and Creative Catering

You’ve seen that look before. A few hours after attendees have been in a meeting, their eyes start to glaze over, heads nod, arms stretch, and watches or phones get checked. Yes, it’s time for snacks and a mental break to freshen up the brain cells.

In truth, meeting breaks are a golden time for networking and catching up on everyday life with colleagues. So how do you make those precious 15-30 minutes tasty and memorable? We’ve gathered ideas about healthy, local and highly interesting treats so groups have something to look forward to when snack time rolls around.

Occasions Catering in Englewood, Colo., announced that they will be taking over Tony’s Catering full-service catering operations. Tony’s Catering in Denver, a division of Tony’s Meats & Market, will continue to offer limited-service catering to its clients as well as pick-up and drop-off.

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Appoints Two New Senior Leaders

Downtown Denver’s Kimpton Hotel Monaco has appointed two new members to their team: Victoria Noe as director of catering and Brittany Gripp as group sales manager. Noe and Gripp have years of experience in management from local Denver properties.

Hilton Announced Newest Initiative at IMEX

IMEX America, an expo for the travel, meetings and events industry, took place in Las Vegas on Oct. 10–12. There, Hilton announced and launched their new initiative, WowMakers, which will help recognize the hardworking professionals in the hospitality industry.

The program is intended to celebrate the 100,000-plus professionals in the industry by sharing their stories and helping them connect with others in the business—giving them the recognition they deserve.
