Event Spotlight: Catering by Design Celebrated a Milestone

How did Denver-based Catering by Design celebrate its 20th anniversary? Owners Cade and Ingrid Nagy’s answer was BASH 20, an allout, in-your-face culinary adventure held on March 24. The Catering by Design team and sister company, By Design Event Décor, created never-before-experienced food stations and decorative lounges that transformed Denver’s Mile High Station into a showcase of what’s new. A jerky gallery, elevated chandelier dessert buffet, 7-foot-tall rubber duck and threedimensional paint-bynumbers experience were among the many wonders of the night.

Sweet Charity: A New Style of Fundraiser

The economy is warming up, the party scene is hot and charity events must be sizzling to succeed. Within the past decade, we went from boom time to one of the tightest budget crunches in recent history and back to solid ground. Colorado’s nonprofits are delighted in the change of circumstances; however, now, more than ever, they feel the pressure to create fundraising events that are truly memorable and impressionable.

Thoughtful conversation, idea sharing, camara- derie and some aha moments, along with a candid discussion about impacts of the legalization of marijuana in Colorado, were all highlights from Colorado Meetings + Events Editorial Advisory Board meeting this spring.
