The Organization: PCs for People is headquartered in Minneapolis and recently opened a Denver office. The nonprofit organization refurbishes and recycles computer equipment from businesses, individuals and government agencies and provides them at little or no cost to families that could not afford them otherwise. Thirteen meetings industry-related organizations joined forces as the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado to coordinate and host the 24th annual Serving Up Hope Luncheon on Nov. 7 at Denver Mart. More than 700 industry professionals attended and raised more than $30,000 for Food Bank of the Rockies’ Denver’s Table program. Food sta - tions receiving awards included Marriott Denver Tech Center for Best Appetizer, Renaissance Denver Stapleton Hotel for Best Entrée, Rialto Cafe for Best Dessert, and Scratch Catering Services for People’s Choice.
The annual Front Range Trade Show is the place where meeting and event planners and suppliers from around the state gather to network and book business. Destination Colorado’s 21st annual event happened on Dec. 6 at The Hangar at Stanley, located in Aurora’s Stanley Marketplace.
