The International Live Events Association Denver Chapter held its May meeting at WhirlyBall in Colorado Springs. WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey, basketball and bumper cars into a game that is both skill and chance. Attendees also enjoyed 12 lanes of bowling, craft beer and cocktails, and a chef-driven menu.
The National Association of Catering & Events Denver Chapter gathered in May at Dry Dock Brewery – South Dock in Aurora. Tasty burgers and Dry Dock beers set the stage for learning about the history of photo booths and how they can be used creatively at events.
The Meetings Industry Council (MIC) of Colorado hosted a record 1,210 registered attendees for its 18th annual conference and trade show on March 13-14 at the Colorado Convention Center. MIC of Colorado is a coalition of 13 professional organizations related to the meetings and events industry.
Denver’s McNichols Civic Center Building was decked out Willy Wonka style on June 20, 2017, for the ninth annual International Live Events Association (ILEA) Denver Excellence Awards. Members and guests celebrated the accomplishments of their peers and enjoyed cocktails, dinner and dancing. A team of judges from the Chicago chapter of ILEA selected the winners.

Colorado properties, suppliers, and meeting and event planners gather each year at Destination Colorado’s Front Range Trade Show, held this year on Dec. 1 at EXDO Event Center in Denver. The organization’s annual meeting and awards were held immediately before the show.

Attendees were encouraged to take the recently added commuter rail line to the year-old The Westin Denver International Airport for holiday cocktails, food, entertainment and the opportunity to toast the end of the year in style.
The eighth annual ILEA Denver Excellence Awards Gala was held at Parkside Mansion with a cocktail hour, dinner, awards and auction making up the evening of fun and networking. ILEA members and guests dined on a gourmet four-course meal prepared by Three Tomatoes Catering.
