The Meetings Industry Council (MIC) of Colorado hosted a record attendance of over 1,200 attendees at the 17th Annual MIC Educational Conference & Trade Show on March 14-15 at the Colorado Convention Center (CCC). This is the first year a second day was added for all attendees. Next year’s conference will be held March 13-14, 2018 at CCC.

A vintage travel theme helps launch Colorado chapter of WIPA.

There is no denying the stunning daytime scenery of Colorado, but the state’s amazing celestial landscape after normal meeting hours provides all sorts of great options for groups.

Twice each month from May through September, groups meeting in Leadville or nearby can enjoy a stagecoach ride beneath a full moon with Halfmoon Packing & Outfitting. Based on the 19th-century tradition of mail delivery by stagecoach, moonlight rides are offered on the eve and night of the full moon.

This recent trend not only benefits lone eagles, remote employees and business travelers, it’s resulting in handy new options for meeting and event locations.
