Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa, a Noble House resort located in the heart of the American West, has created a new all-inclusive group retreat program allowing attendees to experience an action-packed, motivational, and customized four-day trip in western Colorado.

After being transported to the property in the resort’s fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, guests can enjoy a welcome reception with hors d’oeuvres, live-action stations, and an open bar at the Gateway Canyons Auto Museum, which features a collection of more than 50 luxury cars. Day two can include a guided nature hike and a make-your-own team-building course including hatchet-throwing, archery, and corn hole. Attendees can also enjoy class lawn games such as giant Jenga, yard pong, ladder toss and bocce ball. The day concludes with a customized four-course dinner in one of the resort’s spacious venues, including the Mission Bell Amphitheatre, Cottonwood Terrace, or the indoor ballroom at the Palisade Event Center.

Taking advantage of the property’s location among the red rock canyons, day three of the retreat starts with a sunrise group yoga session followed by free time to enjoy a wide variety of activities such as helicopter tours, UTV rides, horseback riding at the Palisade Ranch and jeep tours. Guests can then explore the Gateway Canyons Auto Museum further and enjoy the resort’s amenities including its three swimming pools, hiking, mountain biking, and full-service spa with rejuvenating treatments. As a finale, the resort hosts a Red Cliffs experience taking place in the property’s private canyon with stunning sunset views, dinner, musical entertainment and more.

A recent visit to Grand County confirmed that if I lived closer, I would definitely spend more time there. Isn’t that how you want attendees leaving a meeting or event in the destination you chose, saying “That was so fun, I can’t wait to return!”?

What I like about Grand County is the diversity of experiences you can have in an area that isn’t overly busy and has a lot of charm. There is a ton of open space, and the locals are friendly. Pretty much all of my experiences in Grand County are winter-based so that is my focus here, but summer and fall are equally as nice.

Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has acquired seven new hotels. The new properties include the Hotel Alessandra in Houston, Texas, Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, Texas, Kimpton Hotel Palomar Phoenix in Phoenix, Ariz., as well as the following properties in Denver: Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek, The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block, The Crawford Hotel – Denver Union Station, and The Oxford Hotel.

Over a period of 13 years, Colorado Meetings + Events has hosted two “Best of” award celebrations at the Denver Art Museum (DAM). So it was fun to get back to the museum in January 2019 to hear about and see DAM’s $150 revitalization project underway and experience an exhibition that I’ve been hearing so much about.
