ILEA Live may not actually be ‘live’ this year, but it will be lively. The signature annual event of International Live Events Association (ILEA) will be presented as a dynamic virtual conference on August 10-12, 2021. Produced on the interactive virtual platform AllSeated exVo, the educational and networking program will be focused on the theme “Embracing Transformation.” The event will conclude with the ILEA Esprit Awards Celebration, powered by CORT Events, on Friday, August 13.

“Our audience wants to actively connect and talk with each other, and that’s the experience we’re designing for them,” said ILEA International President Dana Macaulay, CSEP in a statement. “ILEA Live will engage our participants with an interactive virtual platform — hosted by our partners at AllSeated exVo — that will create an experience that adds an exciting ‘in the room’ feeling, just like an in-person event. Our attendees will be active participants in the ‘unconference’ program format and able to connect with each other throughout their learning and networking opportunities.”

AllSeated exVo was launched earlier this year to respond to the challenges that have resulted from virtual conference fatigue. From stages and seating to booths and conference hall, the platform makes virtual events look life-like. Easy to navigate, the virtual event space allows attendees to navigate meeting rooms for breakout sessions, meet with colleagues and network with new connections.

The ILEA Live Committee is in the process of creating the program for ILEA Live 2021. Stay tuned and check the ILEA website for updates.

There are all sorts of cool things for groups to plug into this summer, including two new options in Snowmass and opportunities to sample all sorts of Colorado food and beverage at the Truck Stop: Food Truck Rally Summer Series, held at various locations in the Denver area.

In the Winter 2018 issue of Colorado Meetings + Events that will be released this December, I wrote a feature story about the Experience Economy. Instead of being hemmed in by four walls or one conference hotel, groups want local experiences. In my opinion, one of the best and simplest ways to get a real taste of local without going to a bunch of work and expense is scheduling in tandem with a destination’s event calendar.

The International Live Event Association – Denver Chapter hosted its 12th annual Designer Showcase on Feb. 21 at Lone Tree Golf Club & Hotel in Lone Tree. The event highlighted collaborative efforts of members and other event colleagues in the form of four trendsetting vignettes, each illustrating a city where an ILEA chapter is located.
