• JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek names new Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director

    POSTED March 7, 2018

With more than a decade of experience with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Kathy Hastings will be serving as the Food & Beverage Director and Randall Baldwin as the Executive Chef at the JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek.

Chef Baldwin brings more than 15 years of Colorado culinary experience. His past experiences include working in hotels, private clubs, and stand-alone restaurants, enabling him to deal with every type of customer in a multitude of dining settings. At the age of 11, Baldwin began washing dishes for his parents in a little German place in his uncle’s lodge in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

“For me one of the most enjoyable parts of working in this industry is the fast paced environment, the controlled chaos, the way chefs can communicate without talking during service and still execute on a high level” says Baldwin. “I also enjoy providing guests with a memorable experience that makes them want to return over and over.”

The JW Marriott Denver offers more than 9,500 square feet of urban meeting space, including Fireside, a 2,400 square foot of outdoor event space that offers two walls of glass retractable doors leading to an enchanting patio with fire pits. “We are excited to offer delicious and unique new dishes to our restaurant patrons and social and corporate event guests,” said Bob Megazzini, the Area General Manager overseeing the JW Marriott Denver. “Both Kathy & Chef Randall are highly respected leaders and we are thrilled to have them running the F&B team at the JW Marriott Denver.”

The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa in downtown Denver has welcomed Ann Sutherland Lynch as director of sales and marketing. Lynch has over 25 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry and robust Colorado experience.

Diverse, extensive experience and a passion for both DC and Denver are what Lester Robinson II is bringing to Visit Denver as the new sales director, Washington DC Region. A Michigan native, Robinson has been in the DC area for 10 years and has traveled all over the country for work. Prior to joining Visit Denver, he worked with Caesar’s Entertainment in Las Vegas and Hilton Worldwide in Baltimore and Michigan.
