• Lion Square Lodge at the GondolaB egins $1.25 Million Meeting Room Renovation

To give guests a top-of-the-line meeting and events experience, Lion Square Lodge, managed by Wyndham Vacation Rentals, has announced the start of a $1.25 million renovation of its meeting space. The project will include significant upgrades and design enhancements that embrace the property’s rustic lodge atmosphere and stunning surrounding scenery.

We’re extremely excited to start this latest project and breathe new life into the property’s impressive meeting space," said Bill Anderson, vice president of operations, Wyndham Vacation Rentals, West region. “From a major exterior overhaul to a new restaurant and upgraded units, modern luxury is behind every corner.

The renovation project will continue through July 2018, debuting in time for the fall and winter seasons. Enhancements will include new decorative ceilings and LED lighting, a sound mitigation system, state-of-the-art IT and audio/visual systems, and new carpeting throughout the conference area lobby, foyer and meeting rooms. Upgraded design finishes will be incorporated as well, from fresh paint and wood trim to new furniture and artwork.

The property’s meeting locations and spaces range from small boardrooms to large multi-purpose conference rooms that can accommodate groups of 10 upwards to 200. On-site staff can handle every detail in planning, from group lodging, meeting spaces and audio/visual requirements to catering and group activities. Five different meeting rooms and 5,700 square feet of function space make planning the perfect event seamless, while two rooms go even further, with floor-to-ceiling windows and walkout balcony space overlooking Vail Mountain.

Lion Square Lodge accommodations range from private hotel rooms to deluxe condominiums. Combining the comforts of home with the conveniences of a hotel stay, guests are treated to a range of services and amenities including daily maid service, local shuttles, and ski/snowboard rentals and valet, along with an onsite pool, hot tubs, a dry sauna, and a fitness center.

Several organizations are collaborating on events from January through August 2019 for “celebrate bauhaus100: aspen,” which commemorates the impact of the Bauhaus art movement on Aspen. The theme “Our Legacy, Our Future/WorkPlay-Create” reflects Aspen’s Bauhaus heritage, primarily as it relates to Herbert Bayer, who was a student and a teacher at the Bauhaus, relocated to Aspen in 1946 to design the Aspen Institute and lived in the community until 1976.
