Kate Freyvogel was recently hired as event and program coordinator for the Roberts Event Group in Jenkintown, Pa.
1. What are you most looking forward to in your new role as the events and program coordinator for Roberts Event Group?
I am looking forward to building relationships with clients and vendors and producing the best event possible, each and every time.
2. How do you think your past industry experience has prepared you for this role?
I used to working in sports marketing and events, which is very fast paced and you have to be able to think on your feet. I believe those skills will translate seamlessly within the corporate event industry.
3. What goals do you have in mind for the company and your career growth for this year and farther down the line?
For my first year, I want to really master the things Roberts is known for—designing, producing and managing events—all while adding my creativity to the team. Down the line I would love to see my passion for sports collide with the events we produce and the clients we service.
4. How did you get into the industry?
It all started with an internship turned full-time job at the largest high-school-lacrosse recruiting tournament in the country. Being a part of this event for three years opened my eyes to the event industry. Planning an event for months and finally watching all your teams hard work come to fruition was an amazing feeling. I wanted more of that satisfaction from planning successful events year-round.
5. What do you enjoy most about the organization?
The best part about Roberts Event Group is the team I work with every day. Each person is upbeat and offers unique input when collaborating, which we do as a team often. All team members are incredibly creative and have amazing experience in the industry. The types of events we get to work on are also incredible- from non-profit to Fortune 500s and even international. Each job is different, which keeps it fun.
