Colorado is known as a state that stays in motion, not only in health and fitness but also for the meetings and events industry. After 12 years as editor, of Colorado Meetings + Events, I am no longer surprised at the state’s ingenuity but the amount of new venues, restaurants and hotels launching in the Denver metro area now and in the future has definitely caught my attention. With visions of holiday cocktails dancing in attendees’ and planners’ heads this time of year, we asked a few of Denver’s many great restaurants about where trends are headed for 2017 and for glimpses of what they are shaking and stirring.
Trends & Drink Recipes
—2 oz. mezcal
—3 house-made cherry halves*
—1 tsp. raw sugar
—3 dashes bitters
—.5 orange slice
1. Muddle fruit, sugar and bitters in an old fashioned tumbler (short cocktail glass).
2. Add mezcal and ice, stir several times, garnish with orange slice and serve.
