New Additions to Colorado’s Amusing Places

Since writing about amusing places as something different for groups to tap into for the summer issue of Colorado Meetings + Events, I’ve run across additions to the state’s fun quota. Colorado Springs’ is embracing the new 30,000-square-foot WhirlyBall, an entertainment center where the meeting space can be utilized and team-building incorporated into the program all in one location.

Portillo's Opens in Woodbury

The newest location of Portillo's has opened in Woodbury. The opening of the restaurant's 50th location and first Minnesota restaurant was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by founder Dick Portillo, CEO Keith Kinsey, and Woodbury Mayor Mary Giuliani Stephens.

Delaware North Opens New Restaurant

Grant Grove Restaurant in Kings Canyon National Park has reopened after its recent renovation, which lasted for 10 months and cost $6.3 million. The ecofriendly reconstruction improved diners' views of Bradley Meadow, expanded seating and parking and meets LEED Gold standards.

The remodeled restaurant seats 225 diners and features indoor seating, an outdoor deck and a courtyard area with picnic tables. To-go items are available at a walk-up window.

Bremen's Wine & Dine Opened in June

Bremen's Wine & Tap in Denver opened its doors on Wednesday, June 21, serving brunch starting at 10 a.m., following with lunch, happy hour and dinner service, closing at 10 p.m. The team at the LoHi restaurant was very excited to open its doors, after months spent doing construction, training and tasting. Encompassing their excitement, the staff at Bremen's Wine & Tap listed their Top 10 reasons why they love Bremen's.
