• Sage Hospitality names Sonny Kerstiens Regional Director of Sales and Marketing

Sage Hospitality, one of the top hotel investment and management companies in the U.S., has announced Sonny Kerstiens as the regional director of sales and marketing overseeing Colorado’s JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek and California’s Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa.

As a graduate of California State University – Chico, Kerstiens spent over a decade in sales at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, including more than three years as director of sales and marketing. Kerstiens most recently served as the regional director of sales and marketing at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown. He has overseen the sales team at the Napa Valley Marriott since 2013.

The JW Marriott Denver offers more than 9,500 square feet of urban meeting space, including Fireside, a 2,400-square-foot outdoor event space that offers two walls of glass retractable doors leading to a patio with fire pits.

The JW Marriott Denver Cherry Creek is located in Cherry Creek North, a very prominent shopping and dining area. With 196 guest rooms and suites, the hotel features the Antoine du Chez, Cherry Creek spa, an Executive Lounge, a fitness center and Social Fare Denver Dining & Drinks, which serves a selection of comfort food.

Located in Napa Valley’s iconic wine country, the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa offers 275 redesigned guest accommodations, as well as outdoor garden spaces with fire pits, the full-service Preserve Spa and a swimming pool. The resort also features VINeleven restaurant, which serves American cuisine created by chef Brian Whitmer. Other facilities include a fitness center, concierge services and more than 22,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event spaces.

RMC, the largest privately owned destination management company in North America recently appointed a new General Manager, Christin Tubbs, who will now be directing RMC’s Aspen and Vail offices. 

 

Two new partners have joined the staff at the renowned Flagstaff House. Chris Royster, a past recipient of Zagat’s 30 Under 30 award and a 2016 Food Network Chopped Champion, has stepped into the role of executive chef and is now also a partner. Royster joins Adam Monett (nephew of owner Scott Monette and third-generation Flagstaff House family member) who will fill the role of Flagstaff's general manager. Monett will manage front-of-house responsibilities and operations and is also now a partner in the Boulder-based business.  

 

Hotel Indigo Denver, located downtown in the Union Station neighborhood, has recently appointed Scott Paradine as general manager. With 19 years of hospitality experience, Paradine entered the industry as a valet parking attendant. He spent five years as an operational manager nine years in sales and marketing at various venues, which he entered while working as an assistant front office manager for a 900-room venue in Washington, D.C.
